1. If they would list a show as full acoustic, I wouldn't go

  2. Same. The most boring part of the last tour were Stuck, IALW and later on Stay and even North Star. It just doesn't hit me or something, same goes for the version of EBW they play now.

If they want more acoustic, than I rather have them play a rock show and an acoustic show. So the set list won't get "spoiled" by acoustic songs and it will be one long energetic show.
It's not that I wouldn't like the acoustic show, but I think it will get bored soon enough, or they have to do a Eddie Vedder, Springsteen kinda way and play obscure, unknown and new songs every night otherwise it would be too predictable.
  3. I'm never front row haha, maybe with an expensive early entry ticket or golden circle ticket, what seems to be the trend these days. I liked the slower set during Pearl Jam shows this summer, but ok, they played 3 hours and they have the right songs for it. U2 needs full amp to fill the stadium or large hall.
  4. I love his acoustic versions but the edge ... please plug these amps at full volume!
  5. Come on people, U2 is not stupid. We are blowing this out of proportion. They know a full acoustic show won't please their fans. We are again splitting hairs like before the release of SOI. They at least deserve the benefit of the doubt after all these years of amazing tours. I'm sure that whatever concept they have for their "2 different shows" with "acoustic arrangements" will be carefully thought to please all of us.
  6. The band is weighing a two-night structure for their 2015 tour.
"There is talk of doing two different kinds of shows," says Clayton. "One night would be a kind of loud, explosive rock & roll kind of event and then the other night's show take the acoustic arrangements of some of the songs, and kind of present those songs in a much more intimate way. But we don't really know how that's going to sound and look." One thing the band hasn't figured out: how to make sure audiences understand in advance which show they're getting.

For God's sake, they don't say they're gonna play Edge and Bono solo like on Stay or Stuck. Take it easy guys, whatever they're thinking of doing is surely much more interesting than that.
  7. Sorry but where exactly is this Volcano Tour crap coming from? Looked back a few pages and never saw a source…what an awful name, though.

I can only imagine the cheesy stage design that would go along with that.
  8. The "Volcano" tour rumor started at Interference, I think. Then at page 479 of this thread Sergio showed us a tweet from this guy from Spain that had the same hash-tag to give apparently solid information about future concerts in Barcelona.

My bad I was sitting in the metro and was bored so decided to post that, but youre right, Adam and Larry didn't even join in during the last tour. Totaly forgot about how they played because I always skipped it
  10. I don't care what they do. I'm going.
  11. Well, yeah.
