1. The tour is starting in Hawaii on top of Mauna Loa earth's most active volcano. After the show it erupts and every one is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as gone plays over the pa!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I doubt it'll be called the Volcano tour. I think it'll either have something to do with the albums (Innocence/Experience) or the structure of the shows the same way 360 was named. Volcano won't even be a single.

    You've gone nuts, mate.
  4. I bet they will run the two shows in two different venues. The "rock" show will be in an arena while the acoustic show will be in a concert hall with full orchestral accompaniment. That's how I envision it anyways.

But doing one and one of each is perfectly fine to me, even exciting. And you said it: it's boring when Edge and Bono belt out the acoustic interlude, but what about a full band treat, maybe with an orchestra? The possibilities open wide... Plenty of great songs that wouln't fit an all-rock show, plenty of different arrangements for the all time classics... Maybe it's just me, but I just love the perspective that opens. Anything new is always good.

Not unlike Sting's Symphonicities, where songs were reimagined in a symphonic style... U2 could do interesting things with an acoustic show with a string/orchestral accompaniment. They could present songs in a simple, bare, acoustic way as well as in grander, surging symphonic styles. Whatever they plan to do, I trust them to be magnificent.
