I'd have to agree. Months of rehab I'd say. Considering he was riding his bike to get into shape for a tour he now needs to fully recover, rehab then get fit all over again. Not easy at any age never mind in your fifties. A scaled back acoustic tour might be more manageable.
I fully expect things to go quirt for a while. It would be too risky to announce a tour now.
Maybe I'll start making my rugby world cup plans....
Indeed a big impact on the tour. They will have to reschedule everything what was already scheduled. Tour announcement will not be this year anymore, I would guess.
