I'm not too surprised at the poor performance in the UK. When dates were announced, Remy asked me to buy him two tickets for London and after saying yes, I said to him "I don't expect a fight for UK dates" and no real fight was given. It seems like there's been a fight for US tickets though.

I checked axs again a few hours after I bought my tickets and had a quick look at Stockholm - they were pretty much sold out. London I had sold quite steadily, but mainly upper tier seats (in fact, it's just the £165 tickets available now up there). Same story for London II. London III and London IV have sold marginally better, even some of the lower £165 blocks have sold out. Still, it's not a great showing. I still expect them to go over time, it is 10-11 months away yet.
  2. Pulling singles for msg n1. If anybody is interested. I'll officially be at all 4 MSG
  3. I know, but I'm just afraid they'll be hard to see and they'll just focus all the energy in the opposite direction and I'll miss out on experiencing that.
  4. I'm jealous of those attending one MSG gig, but you and Ed are attending all four
  5. If they add another 4 shows he's obliged to buy another 4 tickets
  6. I know the whole U2 and NYC connection, but are the shows really that different? (besides a trip to the best city in the world)
  7. Please..... I'll need to take out a loan if they announce 4 more!!
  8. Dont think so. Dublin aint that special either (according to those who have attended a show there), its just for the sake of being there seeing U2 in a somehow special place.

PS. Id take U2 in Boston over NYC any day

Unless of course we are talking about the 3 shows in October of 2001...... Those shows as MSG were extremely emotional because of the location.
  10. Offer me a free ticket to any announced show on this tour and I would take MSG. But I do think a long-standing desire to visit NYC plays a small part

Same. The rest of the seats are taken already in the Garden save for some in the upper bowl. I know I should be happy that at least I'm in the same building (and I am) but I fear that it wouldn't be nearly as "intimate" of an "experience". I wasn't quick enough to buy tickets for AT LEAST the lower bowl seating.

Hard lessons learned for me today.
  12. anybody know how much ga tickets were going for in the uk ?
