1. Any other U2 fans out there wondering why seated ticket prices are so steep as compared to many other acts on tour? I love this band and have been a huge fan since 1983 and will be going to at least one show on this tour, perhaps the prices are due to high production values, what do you think?
  2. I think it means Paul McGuinness hasn't really left.
  3. As it's two weeks until Christmas, my wife has Christmas music playing constantly in the home...but I've managed to sneak onto the Christmas playlist on the (U2 special edition) iPod a few U2 songs: their cover of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), as well as If God Will Send His Angels and Peace On Earth. Love the bleakness and realism about the season that Bono's lyrics bring in those last two songs.
  4. God, how I love ZOOTV. Dublin show is amazing, Bad into Bullet with the Elton John snippet (Forgot the name of the song just now) is one of the best things I've ever heard.
  5. Candle In The Wind ♥ Yeah, that segue/show/leg/tour is brilliant.
  6. Yeah that one indeed. But Bad is also great, the way Bono screams the ''Let it goaaoo'' part is amazing.

What I love about Zoo TV and U2 in general, the live peformances are so different each night, especially during Zoo TV (Or at least that's my conclusion) listening to three peformances of Bad during Zoo TV (Dublin, Milano, Oakland) and it's almost like its a different song.
  7. I have to admit, I'm not really into the
ZOO TV tour, I can't even say why. Popmart is much more my thing. But, I take your thoughts to heart, Bart, and I'll download these shows you mentioned to listen and hopefully feel the same excitement you do :-) thanks for sharing your thoughts! ;-) such input most often hold the best inspiration :-)
  8. I hope MacSpidey eats you tonight, for you have sinned.
  9. I find zoo tv to be absolutely spectacular! for that time, to come up with such an immense show - also considering where u2 came from, musically - must have been mind-blowing to both them and the audience fecking brave, they were!

but hey, pop also holds a special place in my heart the album is, still, one of my favourites. yet, from a tour aspect, I'd have to prefer zoo tv. I think.

speaking of zoo tv... I've ordered the remastered achtung baby version the other day (I own an original album copy of course, but not the remastered one) and it arrived this morning! unpacking it right now...
  10. Just to pop in, ZooTV to me is what a concert should be. A band going up there and playing 20 songs isn't that far off from listening to a CD (other than the obvious differences) - a concert should have something extra. It should be a production, it should get you involved, get you thinking, it should tell a story. ZooTV did exactly that and so much more. Not to mention any given ZooTV show (especially the 92 European legs) is probably U2's best ever live collection of tunes.
