1. Five months ago I was coming back from holiday. That feels like an eternity.
  2. So last question: if I choose not to re-subscribe my subscription and I'm reverted back to a free account, then there aren't any fees or payments afterwards? Or will U2.com keep ones' credit card info?
  3. ticketmaster is fucked

my mate and I had ga for last night in boston and ga for last night in nyc in our baskets, get to checkout, both baskets emptied and TM errored on the same page (CC verification) for both of us now not even any tickets are popping up for any nights. such a fucked site

You won't be charged anything afterwards, but I guess they will keep your payment details.
  5. -double sorry-

^ Sorry to hear that Dylan. How I hate Ticketmaster
  6. Got 2 for Chicago #4, so going to 1 and 4 at this point.

Wanted GA tickets, but when got to checkout, the only delivery method was at the show with the credit card. Since my sister (who lives in Florida) is the actual purchaser, that wasn't gonna work.

Oh well. Had to go with seats.

To be honest, and as much as TM sucks, it's good that they're at least trying to keep scalpers from getting free reign.

Very excited for my 2 shows!
  7. they aren't trying to deter scalpers at all. they have a fucking resale function on their website that allows you to resell all tickets through them WITH WHATEVER PRICE YOU WANT, while they take a % cut of your sale price. they just want you to think that they care, but in reality, all they care about is total ticket sales, not sales for fans

Really? I didn't know that. Scumbags
  9. yeah it's called 'ticketmaster +'

    http://www.ticketmaster.com/tmplus

don't get me wrong it's a good idea, but if you want to deter scalping, have all sales as CC entry only and put a resale function on the site where you can sell your tickets (with a legit transfer through TM), for what you paid for it. the fees have already been paid, so put them on the face value and don't take a cut. that would be the perfect system. but again, they just don't fucking care enough
  10. I guess my point was that scalpers would have a harder time getting their hands on fistfuls of tickets - which routinely happened in the past.

Don't get me wrong - I can't stand TM. Not here to defend them.

I got bumped during the first pre sale for no apparent reason and lost my much better seats and had to settle for lesser ones.

    No fees, no payment.
  12. So I used my Mum's credit card for one of the Glasgow gigs and according to her it says on the Ticketmaster website that the person whose name is on the credit card must be there on entry, if not you won't get in. So if I go to the gig, say it's a 'present', I still won't get let in? I know it is designed to stop scalpers but if I go along with ID and my last name matches my mum's credit card, then surely there is some leniency involved?
