1. "The consequences of this freak accident are significant enough that I will have to concentrate hard to be ready for the U2 tour in fitness terms," he said.

"As a result I have cancelled every public appearance and decided this missive is all the communication I can manage for the first half of 2015, beyond muttering and singing to myself of course."

I really hope this isn't the end of Bono's guitar-playing days, but I trust Bono knows what he needs best.

I just hope he didn't underestimate all of this and will be 100% in shape on May 14, which I doubt a bit reading all of this.
  3. He still got 4 months to get there. And he's probably surrounded by the best people to help his recovery. Don't worry.
  4. I still can't believe how insecure he is... This is one of the most popular faces in music, if not one of the most popular in general, and he still doubts about if we care for his opinion or how he's doing... "I... I'm a humble guy" - Holy Joe

Btw, why does he wear a leather jacket while riding a bike...
  5. He does have a lot of time to focus on recovery, but I think he understands the magnitude of his injury. The fact that he cancelled all public appearances from this point on shows that Bono wants to put as much energy as possible on recovery and not deal with making appearances on talk shows and the like. For any other band, cancelling all their appearances leading up to a tour would be detrimental, but U2 is big enough to be able to do this. Anyhow, when this injury first happened, most of us were hoping Bono would take a low profile and focus on recover, so it's glad to see that's exactly what he plans to do.

This is Bono we're talking about, he's got a leather jacket for every activity.
  6. Uk Tv, BBC 2, mastermind tonight. Specialist subject was U2, easy and he missed a few obvious ones.
  7. Oooh, I'll have to watch this on iPlayer! I'm waiting for them (a question about them at least) to appear on Pointless at some point too.

Edit: I passed on one of them
  8. Got em all right
