    And : I think the acoustic performance on the CD isn't that special either. A good live version (EMA ; 2nd Jools Performance) is something else...
  2. I think the acoustic version is a very nice touch for the song. It gives it a different feel without totally changing the meaning of the song. However, I like my own personal mix that combines the acoustic and original versions.

  7. This one was already discussed in this topic a few pages ago. It's not official, but it sure is sexy! (and x1000 times better than the FOI video )
  9. Ah yes, the Australian 60 Minutes performance. I'm still on the fence on whether this or the EMA version are the best. Either way, it took them several attempts to get to this stage. The very short promo tour could have easily been called the "U2 vs. Every Breaking Wave" tour.
  10. The Australian promo is a bit rushed now and then, especially the vocals. And the sighs during the bridge are awful.

    EMA performance is still by far the best imo. Those emotions. Standing in the sweat of our feet and shit.
  11. You have to admit though that this song has come a very long way. Its acoustic version is also a perfect fit for any indoor venue.
