    I'm no expert on DMB, but as far as I know, soundboard access isn't granted indeed. They also don't approve online sharing but snail mail trading.
    I wished U2 would at least have a taper's section.

    DMB used to have inputs for tapers from the soundboard. But that was ages ago. They also did have taper sections but I am not sure if they still do. They were fine with trading and have stated that it was that early trading that helped grow their fanbase, early on.

    What U2 could/should do, as they tape every show anyway, is make the soundboard recordings available. They could sell them on U2.com for $5 per show, duplication controlled copies, and all the proceeds go to DATA, ONE, amFAR, Music Rising, Amnesty Int'l and other U2 supported causes.

    I think that is a win / win proposal.
