  3. So today we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 3rd Rotterdam show:

    Another amazing show with a rendition of All I Want Is You that is in the top 5 ever. Plus, it was the last time they played many songs in a long time such as MLK, God Part II, One Tree Hill and Gloria.

    I come to agree that Lovetown Rotterdam is (still) the best source. Turns out that all this time I had copy of the silvers right in my cd collection

    Yup...tonight is Angel of Rotterdam (quite undiputed the best source for Jan 9th... I think)

    EDIT: perhaps MvdV's recording is potentially even better, but at least it seems that it doesn’t run at the right speed…

    OK... I did some checking and comparing regarding the Jan. 9 show. MvdV's recording is actually the source for Angel Of Rotterdam, the latter only being a very fine remaster with a slight speed correction. Based, however, on "All You Need Is Love" played over the PA, Angel Of Rotterdam still runs a bit too fast (9/25 semitone). A correction may be preferred but I guess you wouldn't notice if you weren't told. One might even think that the "corrected" one plays too slow...
