1. EMA has a bit of crowd ambience to it which is nice. The song itself in this piano guise still does very little for me. I hope both versions rotate on the tour.
  2. I still can't decide which version I prefer. It's sort of like Stay for me, actually: the album version is still my favorite (and to a slightly lesser extent, the full-band Zoo TV version), but I remember hearing just Bono and Edge perform it for the first time on the Elevation Boston DVD and being blown away at the simple intensity of it. Same feeling when I heard it in person live during 360.
  3. ^ nice comparison, and I agree (with the exception that I haven't "lived" Stay - yet).

I agree with Virlio a few posts back too: the piano version has become quite dull and even boring to me after the initial shock of (or maybe because of ) seeing Bono giving it all vocally to the point of absurdity. On the other hand, I enjoy the album version more and more each time
  4. If we're talking about the acoustic vs. the album version, I can't really settle on a favorite since both versions have their merits.

    Yes. Case closed.

  6. The single version of Every Breaking Wave! (R) Much better than the acoustic version on the deluxe edition.
  7. I still prefer the original version, and I wouldn't like they play the acoustic version in a live concert (specifically in Barcelona)
  8. Isn't this just any of the "Live Promo" versions?
  9. Hmm.. It sounds like they took vocal bits from several live performances.
  10. That's a fucking ripper.

My only problem is, are we going to have pop part two on our hands with all the different versions/mixes/remixes?
