1. Still prefer album version.

  2. They would have ruined it. It sounds a bit rushed in production terms but we all know what overthinking/overcooking means to U2 albums...

    Better vocals ?!
I can't imagine Bono hitting and holding the notes any better.
Except when you're a fan of less emotion and more polished studio vocals.

(which is actually what a single version should be about lol)
  5. No matter how you cut it, this is still a discussion of whether or not people like the acoustic version.
  6. I'd take a somewhat cracked or emotional voice that gives the song more depth over a 13-in-a-dozen polished average vocal anytime.

It sounds like the vocals have been spliced together from multiple takes and live shows, in the early part of the song he speeds up and slows down his singing too fast, it just seems off to me. His voice cracks in at least one spot and that doesn't appeal to me on a studio recording
  8. Hmm I've listened to all the versions quite a lot (I've actually got a playlist with just every version of this song ) and I think it's a whole new vocal instead of a mix.

And about the cracks : that's opinion than.
  9. pretty sad when Bruce Springsteen's Frankie fell in love comes in at number 7. take it with a grain of salt
  10. When you consider the fact that Pop and Hip Hop have severely over-saturated the music industry, I consider it pretty impressive whenever a song that isn't Pop ranks highly on these lists.
  11. It's really NOT in good company... (except for the Boss)
