1. Holy sh**! That was fantastic! Thanks Gerard! In 12 minutes we empathize with the characters, and we accompany them in the story. Won't ruin the ending. EBW both album and acoustic versions appear, as well as The Troubles and Alternative Ulster.
Films Of Innocence should've been an extended version of this, it could had been magnificent.
  2. Damn this was awesome, I was only expecting a 5 minute film clip for EBW.

The part of the film which features EBW from start to finish without interruption is the film clip for the song? Not sure how it would view without the pretext included in the minutes prior.

Also gives me a better understanding of the times the band grew up in.
  3. Has anyone else noticed this?

  4. I did.^

I really liked that video. Wasn't at all what I expected, it was much better.
  5. That video has far exceeded my expectations. Excellent stuff.
  6. I know I'm stupid for commenting before seeing the whole thing, but I don't think a depressing video with political overtones is going to be getting the attention of young music-listeners. It makes this old U2 fan want to hit the snooze button as well. I want U2 to be fun again.
  7. wow ...i love it !! it was amazing !

I think young people will still connect with it, I got a Skins (the TV show) kind of vibe from it.

You want "fun" like Get On Your Boots video? I don't rembember for example that the Discotheque video was a smash hit on MTV. You may be underestimating young music listeners. The video is great. If you watch until the end, you see that there's hope, reconcile the differences and construct a new Ireland.
