1. Hi everyone. I created this thread so that everyone here can post any tweaking/fixing of any given glitch in a bootleg. Nothing here will be added to our pages as part of the boot, but rather this can be a fun place where you can play with the sources and if you think you improved a song by fixing a skip or removing an annoying sound, you can share it to anyone that may want it.
I'll start with the work of my compadre BloodRaven. He was kind enough to fix the skip in I Threw A Brick Through A Window at the October show 1982-03-17. This is one of the best October bootlegs there are. By taking a line from the first chorus, you can enjoy Brick in its entire glory. I think it sounds very good.
    Here's the song.

    Thanks BloodRaven! Keep'em coming, everyone

EDIT: Here I'll be updating the post with a summary of all the songs wtih some rework done. So far, we have:
I Threw A Brick Through A Window from 1982-03-17 New York (skip of 1 line corrected)

Stories For Boys and I Will Follow from 1981-11-29 San Francisco (last 10 seconds of Stories For Boys added from the previous show).

The King's New Clothes and Boy-Girl from 1979-10-05, Cork's Opera House. (duplicated seconds have been eliminated)

13/14 Dancing Queen - When Love Comes To Town and 24/25 Ultraviolet - With or Without You from 1992-08-22 Foxboro. (spliced a few seconds of WLCTT from other source to complete it)

    14. Pride and 15. Angel of Harlem, and also 18. Love Rescue Me, and 19. ''40'', from 1989-12-15 Dortmund. (Encore breaks added)

    11. Twilight and 12. Out of Control from 1983-02-28 Edinburgh (missing seconds between songs added from other source).
  2. Continuing with the October Tour, here's from the San Francisco show (1981/11/29), Stories for Boys is cut, missing the last few seconds of the song.

In this one I blatantly cheated, and used some 10 seconds or so from another show (originally Boston, but thanks to César's suggestion, I used Hollywood's which has better sound AND is from the night before, so I kinda feel better with it).

Obviously this one is clearly noticeable (unlike the St Patrick's Day one), since the patch comes from a different source, but imho it's still better than cutting the song before it ends.

I'm uploading I Will Follow too, since I had to make a (really) small adjustment just to blend the crowd noise at the end of SFB with the crowd noise at the beginning of IWF (the song remains intact).

    San Francisco
    29/11/1981
    11 - Stories For Boys
    12 - I Will Follow

    Cheers!
  3. Thanks Bloodraven!
  4. Good work !
  5. I knew you'd like it Pato!
  6. Thanks Bloodraven! Original post has been updated.
  7. From 1992 08 22, Foxboro (the So Cruel concert)

13/14 Dancing Queen - When Love Comes To Town
The beginning of When Love is missing, I took those seconds from the Philadelphia show and blended it with the crowd noise at the end of Dancing Queen and the start of When Love.
It's noticeable because Phili's sound is better than Foxboro, but I think it's better than missing some seconds of the music.

24/25 Ultraviolet - With or Without You
There's some crowd noise missing between the end of Ultraviolet and the start of WOWY, I just mixed both tracks so it's not really noticeable.

I didn't separate the tracks because... well, I don't like doing that (actually I'm spending too much time merging all the tracks from the shows I download, I like them better as a one track show than a 20+ piece sets), but if you really want me to separate them, then I'll add that to my to do list and I'll do it later.

    Cheers!
  8. Here's one of my own:
    14. Pride and 15. Angel of Harlem,
and also 18. Love Rescue Me, and 19. ''40'', from 1989-12-15 Dortmund.
The encore break between those songs was missing. I spliced the break from MvdV's source of that show (of slightly inferior sound quality). Normally, chopping the encore break doesn't bother me, but the crowd was so loud that day that it added a lot to the experience. Great, great show by the way.
  9. One more from Dr. Bloodraven:
    11. Twilight and
    12. Out of Control
from the great 1983-02-28 Edinburgh War show. A few seconds were cut between those songs and he took those seconds from the alternative source. The songs formed a segue in the concert and it sounds very interesting.
  10. Very good stuff
