    I would never spend so much money (incl. travelling, hotel etc.) to see a band in an environment where they are hated that much ... like in dublin/ireland

  8. lived for some time in dublin. u2 were pretty present I thought but no one was saying anything good about them ... I didn't talk to one irish resident who: said u2 is great!

    I was in Dublin last summer and could definitely feel the band's presence or legacy throughout the city. One restaurant owner I talked to said his wife worked for Principle Management. He had nice things to say about Bono and the band.
