Originally posted by iTim:Well, according to Willie Williams, set design is being handled by Es Devlin and Ric Lipson, the latter working for Stufish, a production company that have worked with U2 since Zoo TV. Stufish have a whole host of clients including Muse, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Genesis, Pink Floyd, and...One Direction. Now if we look at the image that Toxic posted on the last page, we see a much more detailed stage layout compared to the very simple rectangle that most sites show.

This much more detailed graphic is very similar to (and here's the reason I mentioned them...) One Direction's current stage setup.

Now, One Direction of course don't accommodate fans 360 around the stage, so U2 will look different to this in regards to the screen. I'm yet to fully work out how the visual aspect will fit in. Many people are calling for the Invisible screen (which was great) but I don't see how that accommodates fans.

One way would be to have something similar to George Michael (Willie has worked with him recently) and have the visuals underneath the band, stretching the length on the catwalk.

By now I'm sure you're painting a picture in your head. U2 are right at the top when it comes to innovation and thinking outside the box - even when they try to keep it low key. They probably have something up their sleeve that we couldn't possibly imagine.

PS. No, I'm not kidding.
PPS. Am I really the only one who doesn't find the Invisible screens that interesting or amazing?
