1. But exciting. Remember the silence after the Invisible burst and during the summer... silence, no news, silence, no news, and them BOOM a new album.
  2. Just a feeling but for the first time in 25 years I don't have high hopes for the upcomming tour.

Yep, and there were rumors of Bono hitting a writer's block and such...turned out wrong.
  4. No he did have it. In fact the band struggled with feeling like they didn't have anything that creative or great - Source from the sessions and time with Ryan Tedder
  5. Why's this? Just curious as to why.
  6. I'm the opposite. For better or worse I've actually got high hopes. Huge demand for tickets to the shows I'm going to (despite what people may think, should have tried getting tickets to all the nyc and Boston shows - it was the worst I've experienced bar Glastonbury) and arenas in traditionally strong cities, performance andcrowd wise, for u2. Can't wait
  7. - The promotion of this tour/album. The only promotion we got was a bike accident
    - The overpriced tickets.
    - Bono's health/voice these days

    I hope I'am wrong
  8. It says 2 weeks ago.

I'd say releasing your album for free to 500.000.000 people during the most-watched tech event in the world is quite a promotional move.
  10. His voice sounds fine, no worse than it did around 1997 - 2006. It's certainly better than the ATYCLB era.

360 and NLOTH was probably the best it's been in a long time though.

No idea how much tickets are for the tour.

They did a bit of promotion for the album e.g. all those promo shows. Check out how many views the EBW music awards show has on YouTube as well - that's been consistently the most-played song from the album. Plus they did interviews etc etc and the Apple 'stunt' - plenty of promo given they didn't get as much time as they could've for the whole promotion run.
