Saw U2 play 11 O'Clock Tick Tock in 1980 when it was still called Silver lining seen em play it a ot on the early subsequent tours last time i heard it was in Dublin on the Love Town tour but it is still my favourite u2 song would love to see them play it again.....

still hoping for a lot of boy/october/war to be mixed with SOI songs... and no joshua tree - vertigo warhorses just this once.

seriously, I'd love it if they played something pre-Boy, to take one of those old songs, Cartoon World, Speed of Life, something like that and play it out of the blue... ("nobody knows them" is not an excuse, nobody knew Glastonbury or North Star yet they played them... and not many people that knows Scarlet would be upset to listen one of those pre-Boy tunes).

I know I'm being totally unfair since I'm not going to any show this time, but I would really enjoy the bootlegs of this/a tour if they played nothing but really new and really old material.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. SOI as an album is incredibly strong and each and every song has the potential to be performed live. The article seems to all but confirm that (except for The Troubles).

Why not? Sounds live and quite different to studio

That does sound like Bono to me as well (who else would it be?) and it's definitely not the studio version. He's there.
