Ok... I've been slowly building my collection (thanks U2 Start!), and my first goal was to have as much songs as I can from every tour in no more than 3 shows per tour...

...I think I already have it, but, that's not the point of this thread

so why did I mentioned that?
Well, because based on that, then I thought:

What's the minimum number of shows I'd have to download to have at least 1 version of each and every one of the songs U2 has played live (no covers).

So, if you want to start your own collection, or if you'd be interested in find it out, keep on reading.

Some ground rules:
*I only looked for complete concerts. I'm not interested in shows with a missing track or even a track cut.
*I only looked for shows with at least 3 stars. Preferably 5 or 4, but there's a couple of 3 star shows.
*I hate IEMs, useless for me.

In the end, the results I got were:

They've played 153 songs so far.
There's no (complete) show available for 8 of those 153 songs (Street Mission, The Fool, Concentration Cramp, In Your Hand, What's Going On -Hype-, Alone in the Light, The TV Show and finally, Boy Falls From The Sky -only available in IEM, which doesn't count for me-).

For the other 145 songs:
You need at least 28 shows to have all of them at least once.

PRO TIP
Get rid of Zurich and replace it with Joshua Tree Rosemont (29 Apr 1987) and with 360 Torino (6 Aug 2010).
That's what I'd do, even if that means 29 instead of 28 shows...

A few points:
a) Way, way TMTOYH. Maybe you can spend it downloading even more bootlegs here?

b) If you need a show just for A Celebration, 1982-12-06 London is a much, much better show
c) I think you mean Vertigo Boston December 5 (US has inverse date format)
d) This feels like the Zelda Ocarina of Time uber challenge: to finish it with the bare minimum.
e) A way more entertaining game to me is to look for the truly best performances of each song in our collection.

f) There's a complete audience recording by bedoc of the Coimbra show with Boy Falls From The Sky. I'll try to get it and put it here.

THAT's the thing that took me more time to do this

once I had the shows it was just a matter of sorting the shows in excel.
Also... I've been working in another couple of TMTOMH already, and this one was the less time consuming, so... )

Not much for me... I'm more interested in the whole concerts than in individual songs (now if those amazing individual songs are wrapped up nicely in a wonderful -complete- show, then please let me know! ...Wembley 12-Aug-93 is one of those... Bad and Bullet are my favourite versions and the whole show is great!)
(Also, I'm not much of listening to "many" shows... I'd rather listen to the same show 100 times than listen to 100 shows 1 time)

I still think the War London show is fantastic, but ok, if you want A Celebration from a complete show, 1983-02-28 Edinbugh is a better choice.

And I get why you chose Mexico 360 for Scarlet, but the audience recording is not that great. 360 Montreal 2011-07-09 has sound quality as good as any official recording.
