I&E Tour - General tour/all shows discussions (w/spoilers)

Which makes me wonder if I want to still keep looking and posting in the Spoiler topic...Don't get me wrong, I loved following the setlists of 360 in Europe all summer back in 2009 before I saw the show opening night for North America in Chicago. It made the excitement level build. But after knowing virtually nothing for sure about I & E at this point still, part of me wants to show up at the United Center on June 28 and have absolutely no idea of what they'll play.

I'm guessing most of the rest of folks on here have made up their minds about this long ago, but anyone care to share their thoughts as the big day approaches?

We have been blessed (imo) latest tours with Snow Patrol, Interpol, Starsailor, etc, so I am rather curious.

Knowing that they're playing your favourite song 90% or 50% of the shows still will have you anxiously wondering throughout the whole concert if they'll play it that night or not, so that's not a spoiler for me.

Even better, KNOWING that they're not playing that song this tour at all or only something like in 10% of the shows, if they start playing it it'll be even more shocking than not knowing anything before hand.

Finally, the way they use to modify the songs from tour to tour, I'd say it's better if you know what to expect, otherwise -for me- it could be disappointing.
There's plenty of examples out there... from classics like SBS, to new songs like Crazy Tonight, from songs that changed them to sound even more amazing like Bullet, to songs that were changed to sound nutered like Bullet back again.

I felt disappointed when I first listened to a Zoo TV show and listened to Running to Stand Still, I was expecting a "still ruuuuunning" and I got a "Halle, hallelujah, halleeeee", but now is my favourite version. I know I would prefer to know the "feeling" of the new versions in the tour, after all, they're playing live, so it's not like "oh, I already know what happens next, so what's the point".

I remember knowing the previous setlist almost by heart and went totally nuts when they started playing Until the end of the world, Elevation and Bad in Amsterdam...
Normally not that big of a surprise, but not played until then.

On the other hand, if you don't know the setlist, EVERY song is a surprise

You can always control your withdrawal symptoms by checking spoiler-free threads While on tour, we will ALWAYS tell if a thread contains show spoilers in its title, so you can avoid looking at it.
