1. I'm still trying to get over the fact that my favourite band has decided to ditch one of my favourite songs ever (Running To Stand Still) as the follow up to Bullet The Blue Sky and substitute it with one of my least songs ever (One Step Closer).

Realizing this... Shit, this is hard (quoting Bono).
  2. OSC is nice! And we don't really know yet... courage my friend, there's still hope!
  3. I wouldn't need them to play OSC too... They have loads of great songs to play before Bullet, so why this?
  4. They wouldn t need to play it but is ok . Is just a kind of a new song

  5. How about Playboy Mansion.. I'm all for bringing in rarities but don't bring them in for the sake of bringing in rarities, bring them in because they are a great live experience and for no other reason.

I mean, what's the point for Playboy Mansion? 99% of the audience won't recognise the song, I can't see it being performed well live and it doesn't energise the audience. It will be the song where we all get beer.
  6. Is playboy mansion confirmed on audio/video?
  7. No, I think it's just an example of song which is rare, but wouldn't be any exciting... and to me One Step Closer is the same type of song. Bring back Please! !!

Come on, a new (previously unplayed) song! And beer is good

I'm 100% sure they're rehearsing Acrobat, Red Hill Mining Town, Luminous Times and more in a top secret location, and that what we're hearing are just old recording sessions played to for the sake of confusing journalists and fans (hence Bono's good vocal form).

    a) weren't we discussing the other day how u2 shouldn't just cater to the casual fans and mix in some of their backlist?

and b) it doesn't energize the crowd? I'm not sure that's an indicator for "do we play this live or not?", because I can think of a couple of songs played live that didn't have that effect either and called for beer instead, too

On a: yeah but only if its of added value. Not mixing in the back catalogue if the songs are crap.

Ultra Violet was a great one the last tour, a back catalogue song, almost forgotten but amazing live. Please could be another great example, if played full band. Or even Peace On Earth, could work amazing live full band.

    Or.. nah.
