Tickets were very expensive, people were waiting for the concert in the rain for 12 hours, and what did boys from RHCP do? They came on stage and play for like an hour (!!!) and left without saying one word to audience. Goodbye? Thank you for coming and queueing in the rain? NOTHING. I know few people who were on that concert and they were pissed as hell. You travel to another country, spend a lot of money, wait in the rain for hours and in the end all you get is one hour set list and band doesn't eve say "Welcome, thank you for coming!".
This concert wasn't exception. My few friends were in Milan few days before that Serbia concert, and same thing happened. They played for two hours but Anthony seemed like he's lost on stage, there was no communication with audience.
Treating fans like that is just wrong.

I'm sure there's a reason that they played that 1 hour only.
As for your other example, I can't follow you there. 2 hours is a pretty long set for a bigger band these days. And I don't need a singer kissing my ass when I'm at a gig. I'm there for the music, not to hear them talk.

agreed but you'd be fucking well pissed with an hour long set without reason. Must have been voice problems or something.

As U2 had their reasons to cut their Pre-Christmas Lovetown gigs.
