1. So Bono's favourite tour is Popmart..
  2. Ha! I don't buy it.

But this discussion doesn't belong to this topic anyway
  3. it's nothing new, he says that in U2 by U2.

    Anyway...
  4. And I still don't buy it I think he says that in order not to acknowledge Popmart's failure. If he/they thought it for real, they wouldn't turn their backs on Pop the way they do, right?
  5. Popmart is something else than the album Pop. The tour was big, big and over the top, it made fun of the pop culture in general (At least that's how I look at it)

It is truly a shame that they act like Pop doesn't exist, such great (live) songs on there.
  6. They, especially Larry, always say that Pop was a failure. Bono said it was his favorite tour aesthetically.
  7. I don't believe him a word, no matter what aspect of the popmart tour he was talking about
  8. Certainly Popmart is my least favourite tour but I love the Pop album
  9. Well he didn't say it was his favourite, he said it was the one he was most proud of aesthetically. The collaborations with the artists and the physical installations were mindblowing, he says.
  10. I've just listened to it too. Really enjoyed it.
    Stand out comment for me...

"The Rolling Stones live make you feel good about yourself
U2 live makes you feel good about the person next to you"

That's why we love them so much.
