1. Seems to be that the band are under rehearsed. Nothing out of the ordinary being reported. Admittedly we are only hearing reports from open rehearsals but what has been rumoured other than the new material that they HAVE to play regardless? Playboy Mansion? Was it ever confirmed as it just sounded like the album version over the PA?

    5. Mysterious Ways

Where would you go from there?

He also suggests that the band have been working hard on the Miracle Drug -> Streets combination.
It's a powerful beggining no doubt. The EBTTRT > (electric) Desire sounds like a great combo to set things moving after the Invisible fiasco Not that I dislike the song, but I always said I wouldn't like it as an opener. Let's see what they do with it though, after so many years I just want to see them onstage in front of me, I don't care if they open with One Step Closer haha
  3. I'd really like Cedarwood Road as an opener !
The lightbulb, playing the guitar-intro, but then longer, and BOOM.
  4. When we heard about the lightbulb I thought it would be just Bono playing Cedarwood Road on acoustic guitar...

...then I remembered he can't play guitar lol.

That was the only scenario where I would bear with an acoustic Cedarwood performance.
  5. The Miracle would be a nice closing song!
  6. I've been growing to that idea. This album doesn't have many potential closers. The Troubles and Cedarwood Road would be the obvious choices but I think they would work better as set closers, so The Miracle could work as show closer a la Vertigo, yep!

    This.

Maybe they've got something hidden but that doesn't seems very likely. The most rehearsed songs don't seem very interesting to me. Love to hear the new songs but the older "New" songs are kinda boring.
  8. they will need to rehearse with a string section if there is going to be one.
I agree, a couple weeks of prep is not much at all.
  9. They're musicians and they have written and recorded those songs not more than 9 months ago... They shouldn't need much preparation.

(Not to mention the classics they've been playing for 15/20/25/30+ years already)
  10. Still, One was a disaster in 360 opening night.

Agree, the orchestra hasn't been heard on the rehearsals at all (that we know) so they definitely must berehearsing with the PA turned off (or in a different room altogether) some of the songs.
