1. do you think there'll be a short clip for every day of the countdown now?
  2. Yes, something similar to the countdown we had before 360 Tour. But I suspect much less interesting lol

It took Bono ages to remember how Walk on goes on the 36 tour - I was at two shows where he fucked it up - Adam was amused but Edge and Larry weren't impressed

U2 have to work very hard to be good. I hope by the time they come to Europe they'll have had enough practice shows
    This. They actually suck
  4. yeah! fuck u2!!!
  5. While I usually agree with the real nature of this post, I think that dylbagz actually has a point in this ocassion... our guys are far from being the best musicians out there, in some ways they still are those kids that started playing before actually learning how to play, these guys usually think big and is not uncommon that their ideas are bigger than their skills, and they really really need to rehearse enough.
    Or that's my impression sometimes...
  6. In my opinion U2 has an established fan base, so I'll be amazing if they make a show with very old songs:

    - Gloria
    - Surrender
    - 40
    - Stories For Boys
    - A Day Without Me
    - Another Time, Another Place
    - The Electric Co
    - I Threw A Brick Through A Window
    - The Ocean
    - Is That All

Elevetion, Beautiful Day, I Still, Where the Streets ... are very good songs, but this songs don't pass the meaning of the album.

I do agree with you as the band having an established fan base but we are coming upon the 40th Anniversary of this band. Please do not judge me for what I am about to say and in no way am I comparing U2 to the The Rolling Stones but at this point in their careers these songs With Or With You, Where The Streets Have No Name, Pride, One, Beautiful Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday... etc are going to be staples at their concerts the same way Jumping' Jack Flash, Satisfaction, Brown Sugar.. etc are staples at concerts of the Stones.

Where the bands have differed is U2 still includes a fair amount of new material in their shows when touring a new album. I am very excited to hear the new songs live and I do hope that we get a fair amount of different songs each night but I think the staples will remain. I mean can anyone here imagine a U2 concert without Where The Streets Have No Name?
  9. Using The Crystal Ballroom in the first one gives me hope that they'll play it

    Exactly. Popmart leg 1 anyone?
  11. i think is very different. That POP songs were very hard to play live. I think they can play the whole new cd without problems. Of course they songs grow during the tour ( and change sometimes too)

They learned from that. After Pop debut , look at the other tours debut and they played very well incl Barcelona from 360 was one of the best of Leg 1 ( with Barcelona 2, Milan 1 and 2 - the first 4 shows of the tour were great )
