1. This must be the famous Irish humor: "Nice one on the timing dad,"
  2. touching words... glad to hear there were no regrets. very important indeed.
  3. Added this part of the article to the first post. Truly heartbreaking. I'm glad Larry Jr had a chance to speak to his dad before he was gone, though.

Larry Jr's bandmates are rehearsing for the opening gig of their new world tour at the moment, and in his eulogy he thanked them and the U2 crew for helping him make it home from Vancouver in Canada for the funeral before he flies back to join them on stage. "Nice one on the timing dad," Larry smiled from the altar as he described how his father had been sick only for a short time but was a man who was "truly ready to go".

He wasn’t sick very long, however he received bad news on Friday. He decided to exit his mortal coil on Sunday,” Larry explained. "I had an opportunity to speak to him on Saturday and he was overwhelmed by the care, love and support shown to him," he added.

  4. Pic of Larry carrying Larry Snr's coffin in one of the Irish papers but can't be arsed trying to figure out how to show it here !!
  5. If you can take a pic of it and transfer it to your computer, then go to www.imgur.com or www.tinypic.com and upload it; when you get a link that ends in xyz123.jpg or xyz123.png just paste it here inside a [ img ] 123xy.jpg [ /img ] tag (without the spaces)
