  1. I hope these rumours slowly dissipate, faster than a cannonball.


    Whaha.

    Really it would be GREAT to see them live, but I would certainly not say it's realistic. Noel has firmly denied any of that the last year and his solo career is going great, I mean Chasing Yesterday is a top album. It does not attract the large crowds and sounds Oasis had though.

    The rumoured revival of the band, which formed in Manchester in 1991, comes after the brothers appeared to have held peace talks following years of bitter feuding, with Liam recently posting a picture of himself online with a pass to one of Noel’s solo gigs captioned: “Keeping it in the family.”


    According to Noel however, that was not Liam's pass, but one of the other brother's. Liam wasn't even invited apparantly.
  3. Oasis without Noel is not Oasis. It would be like a revisit of Beady Eye but without the Beady Eye songs (luckily)

    This said, I'd still go!
  5. yeah, it would really suck. Bonehead and Guigsy didn't even add that much to the songs anyway. Guigsy didn't even play bass on Definitely Maybe and is almost inaudible on Morning Glory (as is the bass almost always on Oasis' songs)
  7. Oasis was originally Liam's band until Noel joined and sacked all the member ..... and wrote all the good songs !!! I saw them support REM in Slane in '95 and 2 nights in a row in Cork in '96 when they were good !!
  8. It'd be tough for Liam to sing 20 or so songs in a row. Having Noel allows him a chance to rest his voice - and what's an Oasis show without "Don't Look Back In Anger?!?!?!?!"
  9. Speaking of Noel, I forgot to post that I saw him last Monday in Toronto. A very good/quick show, for sure. He came on at 8:10 and was done by 9:50.

    (...and he played Don't Look Back IN Anger - as well as The Masterplan).
  10. 1:40 is fine, although I thought he would be pushing it to 2:00 with the new album. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it
  11. Noel was the latest castaway on Desert Island Discs and he chose U2's With Or With You as one of his records. Top man.
  12. The biggest band in the world invites you to join them in front of 18.000 people and you get there by tube. The man is a fucking legend.
