Nice. I've actually never heard anything lossless before. What's the big draw?
  2. I have the new albums by Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk as well as the new compilation by The Killers. Also, I have classic albums by Wilco and Boz Scaggs. And to top it off, I have the last gig from the Boy Tour by U2 for the Round Table.

Nice! I got the Killers CD a couple of weeks ago, but have only listened to it once. Maybe I'll listen to it on my walk home from work.

so, it's ideal and best suited for live material, I'm assuming?

not all the time and not to all ears. Lossless is what was recorded, the full uncompresses recordings. One song can be as much as 50MB. A typical mp3 is 5MB, so if an mp3 is ten times smaller through compression then some quality is lost. I'd only recommend lossless if you listen to your bootlegs on a decent hi-fi system. Not ideal for mp3 player listening

I see. And since I do most of my listening on a less-than-stellar system, and have very limited harddrive space, I don't think lossless is for me. Thanks for the info!

if you want to test your ears try this. Take a CD (proper official CD) and put it in your hi-fi and play a song at a set volume. Now take a CD and rip it to your PC thus converting it to mp3 then burn those files to a disc. Now play the same song at the same volume and see if you hear the difference. You should be able to.
  11. If anything, you should reserves it for the best shows in the history of ever.
  12. By the way Gerard, where do you get yours?
