Nice. I've actually never heard anything lossless before. What's the big draw?

Originally posted by ReclinerManI have the new albums by Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk as well as the new compilation by The Killers. Also, I have classic albums by Wilco and Boz Scaggs. And to top it off, I have the last gig from the Boy Tour by U2 for the Round Table.

sound quality

so, it's ideal and best suited for live material, I'm assuming?

not all the time and not to all ears. Lossless is what was recorded, the full uncompresses recordings. One song can be as much as 50MB. A typical mp3 is 5MB, so if an mp3 is ten times smaller through compression then some quality is lost. I'd only recommend lossless if you listen to your bootlegs on a decent hi-fi system. Not ideal for mp3 player listening

I see. And since I do most of my listening on a less-than-stellar system, and have very limited harddrive space, I don't think lossless is for me. Thanks for the info!
