  1. got in for 100 from a nice person on craigslist (face for my ticket was 115 or so)

show started off great. 1st set was flawless and cedarwood road positively demolished me. loved it.

but 2nd set...the elevation/stuck combo did in fact suck.

fortunately ebw > bullet brought us back and beautiful day was just that.

encore bringing david up there was alternately inspiring and painful. the poor kid was so nervous. i am a dad, so i think about how proud i'd be if my son got up on stage with his (or my) musical heroes, so it was a unique moment. better than the sparring with hammered in mysterious ways (u had to be there).

happy to hear SHFWILF, there were 4 songs different from wednesday (only other one in LA i've been to so far) but when two of those are elevation/stuck...well let's just say wednesday was better

having said that, can't wait for 6/3 !

Nice review! Thanks for sharing! If you have some spare time maybe you can also post it to the show page

  3. Watching the kid up on the stage during CoBL made me uncomfortable. I guess that was the Dad in me coming out. I felt bad for him. He was clearly shocked and nervous being up there. I thought he was on the verge of tears at one point - kept putting his hands in his pockets. Bono handled it well trying to make him feel safe.
  4. Hey all. Just back from the show fighting through that lovely LA traffic I haven't missed one bit since moving from here.

I have to be totally honest, I had this forum and all of you on my mind when Elevation/Stuck got played. I thought to myself, "They must all be going crazy right now"

All joking aside, I had a great time being on the floor, I was right at the end of the E stage. Got some great pics of the boys and I will post a pic or 2 when I get up in the morning. Terrible, terrible cell reception inside though. Couldn't get a text or tweet out at all. So I will chat with all of you in a couple hours. I plan on being en route to the forum much earlier than today to be able to get up on either the main stage rail or the railing in the middle of the catwalk.

    Cheers!

  7. Just got back from LA after the first of two nights for me and I have to say... Wow I'm really glad I went spoiler free. I'm not just talking about the set list (which I loved tonight by the way), I'm talking about all the other aspects of the show. When Bono walked INTO the screen, I lost my mind. Completely stunned by how clever that is and how they managed to extend their ability to work the stage into pieces that aren't even usually considered part of the stage itself. Seriously blown away by this. It was part concert, part theater, and part museum art exhibit. Honestly the most fun I've had at a music based event ever.
