    Denver, the capital of Colorado, is an American metropolis dating to the Old West era. Larimer Square, the city’s oldest block, still features landmark 19th-century buildings. Museums include the Denver Art Museum, an ultramodern complex known for its indigenous works collection, and the mansion of famed Titanic survivor Molly Brown. Denver is also a jumping-off point for skiing in the nearby Rocky Mountains.
    What about Boulder? The concert after Red Rocks features my favourite rendition of Surrender ever.

  5. Downtown Denver gets a little bit country, a little bit rock 'n' roll this weekend, and that means a whole lot of traffic.
    And on top of that, two of Denver's most popular street festivals are on tap this weekend. Oh, and the Rockies are in town.

    We're not gonna use the phrase "a perfect storm" here. A way overused and hackneyed expression, in our view. But if we were to refer to "a perfect storm," there will be one downtown, when both U2 -- arguably the biggest rock band on the planet -- and Luke Bryan -- maybe the hottest thing going in country music right now -- offer two of the city's biggest concerts of the year.
