I thought both set-ups were pretty interesting since I always associated Invisible with simple visuals. But the Berlin Wall graphics are a very nice touch.
ahn, you've been there... how "bad" was it the Invisible segment and how "exciting" was the reveal of the band inside the screen?
I've read several times that invisible doesn't work; I agree that on the streams/bootlegs it seems that the crowd sounds is unaware that the show has restarted, but it also sounds very excited when the band appears inside the screen, and I think the band enjoys the reveal too much... in other words, I think that the band is willing to "sacrifice" most of the song in order to have that moment near the end of it.
How does it look inside the arena?
This feels like we're in East Germany and everyone has heard horrible stories about "the other side" but until we are there in the crowd we can now for sure if it works or not.
of course no one knows the show has restarted, its Invisible, at least 75% of the crowd would not be able to tell you the song in first 10 seconds. I feel the BIG BOARD will only be improved upon as the shows continue to change and grow. saw phoenix 2 and by LA 3 everything was much smoother and clicking much better with the band and performances. however the idea of splitting the crowd with thw board does create different dynamic of being at the show, as I was on the floor i got this feeling of being at a huge concert, but with only half of the people. a very strange dynamic but it came across during Invisible. Great to see the band really changing things up and PLAYING WITH THE IDEA OF yadayadayada at this Denver show. i swear there si still hope for a Complete Back to Back experience coming up in either Chicago or NY....ok that is becoming increasingly difficult to type without wanting to break the keyboard
