  1. It's all relative. For me, 2001-10-27 New York was a better Elevation concert than Slane. #offtopic
  2. HA!, way, and I just typed a five minute response and hit some random button that erased some shit...so... hope tonights concert totally rocks!!
  3. Yeah, second nights are usually better. I'll be here.
  4. Originally posted by Bloodraven:ahn, you've been there... how "bad" was it the Invisible segment and how "exciting" was the reveal of the band inside the screen?

I've read several times that invisible doesn't work; I agree that on the streams/bootlegs it seems that the crowd sounds is unaware that the show has restarted, but it also sounds very excited when the band appears inside the screen, and I think the band enjoys the reveal too much... in other words, I think that the band is willing to "sacrifice" most of the song in order to have that moment near the end of it.
How does it look inside the arena?

I wouldn't describe it as bad at all. The performance is quite solid and the visuals are actually decent. Generally people know that the show started up again and most of the stragglers come back carrying beers and stuff. I like the band reveal personally, but I think the original invisible screen visuals from the video would have been really awesome
  5. right on, i know its been covered, and covered, and...but i was really hoping for a night 1 show, and a night 2, same 12-15 songs, even in same places and a night 2 show that's changes things...so if you see night 2 in some city and nght 1 in another you would have the total experience...possibly the Innocence experience night 1 and the Experience show on all night 2's. Like wouldn't it be awesome if they played around with those themes....fuck, i swear i am not pissed, just a little disappointed in the 4 shows i was able to save up for, yes based on what the band mentioned they were aiming for this tour, and get to.
  6. To be honest, I went to 2 shows and had 5 different songs. Good enough for me.
  7. I suppose it's better than the identical setlists I had on 360.
  8. HA! sorry but this band will never be remembered for "Good enough". I was really hoping this band could once again aspire to be THEMSELVES which is something that you can't and have never ever been able to find in music or live performance. Streets from LA1 is that moment when they become something other, just a transcendent moment and Bono felt it too as the song was over
  9. and 360 had very few shows in same city at a timeand the magnitude of the production brings an expected anticipation of seeing U2's 360 production, very much like a play, so throw the 360 comparison out the window
  10. This tour can't be compared to any other. Zoo TV for example had 32 shows during leg 1 in North America and hit 30 different cities. This tour has 36 shows, but only hits 10 cities in North America. Zoo TV can be forgiven for a static setlist, it was a show that they actually took on the road.
  11. i did go after the Good Enough bit there, that just never seems like something that should enter the consciousness after seeing 2 U2 shows. So, i would like to say that yes for me 5 songs is good enough from two shows. ok i said it.
