1. Btw, that girl is Elle Evans, Matts new girlfriend
  2. Just watched the bonus DVD, the making off sucks. Live tracks are awesome!

Listened to the album on my way to work today. The Globalist...positively absurd. I was stopped in traffic at the point like 4:45 in when the guitars kick in, and my jaw dropped and hands flew up to cover my mouth. What an insane song. I love it.

Also, as a lifelong choir member (and churchgoer...and sacred music aficionado), I absolutely love Drones (the track), too.

What a great album. I think this one's a little bit easier to listen to all the way through than Origin of Symmetry is for me (although I don't think there's a song quite as good as New Born or Plug In Baby on this album...but it's close). I think I like it right around how much I like Absolution, and that's otherwise my favorite album of theirs.

Hell of an improvement from their last album (that said, I do still love Panic Station and Follow Me), too.
Absolutely, the moment when the heavy guitars kick in at the middle of Globalist is the best thing I've heard in years

  6. haha, this one better

Happy Birthday Mr Bellamy I bow to you!
  7. Wait, a new Muse album? I'm too busy with U2.. Let's give it a shot soon.
  8. a'ight, so I finally bought Drones today and have just finished my first listen through.

they weren't kidding when they said they were bringing back the rock; 'Reapers' is absolutely brutal and the production is pretty raw throughout. not sure I get the whole concept album side of it but to be honest these riffs make it easy to put that to one side.

initial reaction is it's definitely their best one since at least Black Holes.

good going boys, i thought we'd lost you for a while!
  9. It took me a few listens to start appreciating what they've done with Drones. There is some fantastic stuff happening on this album. Too bad I listen to most of my music with an iPod shuffle and still have little idea what the names of many of the songs are - aside from Dead Inside, Psycho, and Mercy (a bit cheesy but very infectious), of course.

Agree with the concept album shit, I don't get it... But I rock to many of these songs anyway.

Reapers might climb to my favourite from the album.
