  2. A part of me feels like this song should be played almost exactly as it is on the album. I feel like Bono shouldn't be improvising lyrics and shouting random stuff during the instrumental sections because it's just that type of song. Does anyone else feel the same way?

    I'd like an extra verse / bridge. But that can fuck it up as easily as upgrading it.
    The long outro is gonna make people lose interest I'm afraid.

  6. Huh oh, I missed that. He said they would bring it out "before the end of the tour", which could mean before August (end of the American tour) or end of November (end of the European tour), I don't think Bono mentioned September at all.
  7. To me, the song is really defined by its opening section, mainly because there are portions in which the entire band is silent. I like it when songs use silence as effectively as sound. This is why I find The Miracle so appealing. I don't want Bono to think he has to fill the opening silent moments with freestyling lyrics.

    but he was asked exactly that by a fan and he said probably not before september. they'll likely practice it during their one month break.
  10. It will be amazing if they bring it -together with many other different songs- to Europe.
  11. I wonder how things will turn out if Bono takes his whole "America" deal to Europe?

    "Show me the hands that built America" - everybody raises their hands
    "Show me the hands that will rebuild America" - nobody raises their hands
  12. they need to change that, same with the young americans snippet. that obviously wouldn't have the same meaning in europe.
