1. Am I the oldest here with 36?????

I don't know which song it was, i think it was I threw a brick. Actually it was in 1983 when I listened to a dutch radioprogram KRO's RockTempel. Every Sunday evening they broadcasted a live recording from a band and this evening it was U2 playing on Torhout Werchter in Belgium. Still on of my favourite gigs.
  2. HMTMKMKM, Sweetest Thing, With or WIthout You

One of those...it may have been the first.
  3. Heard SYCMIOYO on radio here in Sweden and got interested. Later that year (2005) when U2 played in my city, there were about 30 pages about U2 in the paper, about their albums, the members, the band's history and everything. Unfortunately I didn't have tickets to the concert, but i downloaded Achtung Baby and since then I'm hooked.

  7. It's good to see all these young U2-fans. I always thougth that there weren't many young fans and that I was one of that minority with my 18 years. But luckily there are a lot more of them..
  8. Yes fore sure but I am suprised. In other forums people are much older and here the average age is younger. So still good education
  9. go check my other thread with the u2 fan ages.. lets see how old everyone is.
  10. For me it was Beautiful Day.
  11. Mmm... I'm not sure if it was Beautiful Day, Staring at the Sun or Mysterious Ways. Maybe all three.

But I became a real fan with I Still Haven't Found, WOWY and The Fly .
  12. The first U2 track I can ever remember hearing was back in '01 when I was 15. Mostly where I live the dominant music is country and at that age you follow the trend. Anyway, one night my older cousin (who didn't follow the trend), was flipping through music channels and came across the video for Elevation and it blew me away. I absolutely fell in love and I never looked back.
