Is the greater variation on the Vertigo tour - at least near the beginning and in the encores - due to that tour not having a central theme or narrative to it, like I & E does? I suppose the "faith over fear" and "coexisting" themes were present throughout its run, but there wasn't necessarily a story being told that demanded a more uniform setlist night to night like I & E.
