  5. Pretty bad tonight, many streamers cut midway through the songs or at the end, so Tim had to search for other streams, etc. A mess. I recorded the premiere of TCB and posted it as a world exclusive, but it lacked the whole solo! (not that Edge's guitar was prominent though, it could be barely heard)

    Hmm...that's too bad. But I bet all the Chicago will be taped. Think they always have... (or almost...). Anyway, I will see tonight (CET) as I'm off to my sister. She justy moved her family one from house to the other and got all these boxes pilled up...

    Crystal ballroom (edge was high enough in the mix during his solo, Bono fairly ruined it by singing ooh ohs over the whole thing)
    Every breaking wave into bullet was absolutely terrific

    Even though I'm not a fan of the sweetest thing on this tour, the crowd was very vocal and into it tonight. Pride, beautiful nd with or without you had huge reactions from the crowd. I think beautiful day could/should be a closing song one day. Crowd loves it, sings it and I think it would work a lot better than I still haven't found what I'm looking for. Don't even get me started. Worst closing song of any band I've seen, from memory. Crowd sung it loud and all, but it's just an anti climax. With or without you is begging for shine like stars. They're playing it well and Bono is singing it better than he has for a while, but it's missing that something. City of blinding lights isn't tired to me, but what doesn't work is that it leads into streets. City of blinding lights is basically the closest type of song they've written to streets, long intro, big build ups etc etc. It needs another song running between or into it to fix that up.

    I thought the first part of the show was ok. Cool to see once but in all honesty tempted to stay around to see the second song rotation slot and head out for beers until the end of the world starts. Felt like the second half was considerably stronger than the first half, especially if you look at crowd reactions. Those two rotating slots leave you shaking with anticipation, also knowing that occasionally another song pops up in the last bit of the main set.

    Impressed by the crowd tonight, not sure how they compared to the other nights but even most of the seats were standing the whole show (I watched the crowd nearly as much as the band). Started off quietly but found their voices by the end of the show.

    Not sure where the show ranks for me. 360 was a completely different experience. So too vertigo. Definitely some of the best single performances I've seen from the band, but I'll need a while to work out where it fits overall.
  10. Also, in with or wiwithouyyo, has Bono still been singing the 'hands are tied' line / chorus? Could have sworn he missed it or skipped it tonight. I usually fast forward it when it comes on so I can't think off of the top of my head
  11. Off topic but I noticed on Montreal 2 in OOC that Bono reverted to the old chorus (I was of the feeling it was out of control) for most of the song !! He accidental sang the correct lyrics in Streets too one one of the recent boots
