(There is this very important connection between John Lennon and Bono: John lost his mother at the age of 17, or 18)

john lennon was abandoned by his mother he didnt know her
  5. Pardon my ignorance, but was yesterday a special day for John Lennon fans? Or why so many references by Bono yesterday?

  7. Toronto was the city they played the night after he was murdered
  8. The first time they played in Toronto (and Canada for that matter) was the night after John Lennon was killed. Bono tells the crowd he remembers playing there and the whole crowd singing along to Give Peace A Chance.
