1. Are we there yet?
  2. Saw an image of delays of all U2.com gifts the other day. Most take about 12 months, this one is already at 18.
  3. I Will Follow to download.

I hope they have intertial dampeners installed for their mailers.

Speaking of vinyl, that beetlog 'Another Time, Another Place' (the light blue cover with a b&w shot from the video 'A Celebration') is on sale on eBay for 55.00...if anyone wants it. Only 55.00...yeesh. I bought it for $12.00 in 1987.

Ripping good version of '11 O'Clock Tock Tock'.

"We were told you were gonna be Japanese tourists"

AMAZING version of 11 o'clock. I got it in 1996 when a friend of a friend was selling his U2 vinyl collection because he was having a kid. From that day forward I have vowed never to have children.

    too funny!
  6. Truth. Thinking of trying to find a baby-sitter while I fly my wife to Dublin for a U2 show seemed just too much work.

    way too much work.

but hey, if you change your mind, I'll be that firend to help you out and take that vinyl off your hands to make way for the little bundle of joy!
  8. and for the record, having kids is great... and I never cleared out my vinyl. but they did actually put a damper on travelling freely to see U2 shows! No lie there!
  9. HAHAHAHA. I'm sure you will. Admittedly, my wife appreciates that I have a few collections that I would never part with.... my vinyl (not just U2) being one of them.

I have about a dozen U2 vinyl boots including one from right here in Toronto in 1985. THAT'S pretty sweet
  10. Yeah, my U2 boots are pretty extensive... vinyl and cd. I used to be my local record stores guinea pig. If it could be had, I wanted it. Then I'd report back on sound quality so they'd know if they should get another one in... With the vinyl, even if they sounded bad, you still had a work of art in your hands with the cover and art. I can tell from this conversation you know exactly what I mean!

I've actually only ever sold 3 pieces, and only because the offer was too good to pass up. Of course, in reflection, I kinda wish I hadn't... I had an inflatable Trabant car promotional piece from Achtung, the original vinyl release box set of Salome (early Achtung sessions) and the Zoo Radio Transmit promo CD.
  11. I just want to say that this version of I Will Follow included in the subscription gift is fantastic. We have very few good quality recordings (Hilversum is the only other one, as far as I know) of these super early versions with the different intro and amazing bass part.
