  1. Thinking about the ZOO TV show in Gent in 1992 (almost 23 years ago!) two things always pop up in my mind :

    1) getting up really early in the morning to queue for a ticket (good old days !!)
    2) UTEOTW. This song has it all. One of their best

    Yeah I was at Coachella in 2013. Shame we missed that opportunity!

    And yeah, if it weren't for the damn travel expenses, I'd be all for a world-wide meet up. That stuff just get so pricy so quickly once you throw airfare into the mix. I'd pay more for one round trip ticket than I have across four IE Tour shows thus far.

  5. It's a shame that it's one of the most boring studio tracks.
  6. Everything on Aching Baby sounded flat and lacking in dynamics; end of the world was just the most severe example of this. I think the whole album was rather poorly mixed. #PossibleControversy

    I thought the OST version was fun. And for the record, I think it's stupendous live. Never gets old.

    ...for me it is still an open question if the singer actually reached for the "wave," or the "one" he wanted to destroy... (and then which wave was it? probably that of sorrow...but it's not a 100% safe bet...)

    Indeed, "pure genius" the fact that it's open for multiple interpretations... and that's another argument why the song keeps coming back...

    I wouldn't call it an argument.

    Brilliant songs are always open for interpretation. The fact that people play One at weddings is a perfect example.

    The whole theme of this album can be ambiguous to each individual ear. Part of what makes it such a masterpiece.
