When I saw them twice, Cedarwood Road was definitely a highlight.
  2. yeah, Volcano doesn't fit in with the theme of that section of the show, that's why they've played it later on in the set in previous shows
  3. I know, I know, it's a story and all that. It fits great, but my brain is ready for Volcano. Don't get me wrong, I still want to hear Cedarwood Road.
  4. I really wanted a more electric version of Volcano, like they did on that TV show

I agree. I saw Boston #1-2 and both times the crowd had no idea the band was actually playing. So 50% of the song is sort of lost haha

Reminds me of how fortunate I was to be at the tour debut of Volcano. Definitely a great rocker, that's for sure!

Not sure I agree with that. I understand what you're saying, though. But Bono has always had a need to connect with the audience and he seems to do that by climbing things. Can't count the number of stories I've heard from the early days where he climbed balconies, etc. in small clubs. Climbing into the big screen seems to fulfill that need for him.

And, I think it kind of portrays a bit about how he sometimes feels so alone, despite being with these 3 other guys. They're playing his songs, but their his, and very personal. That distance portrays that solitude he feels.

Or, it's all a bunch of showmanship bullshit
This is good analysis. I take your points!
  8. If the door is open, it isn't theft!

I actually thought that was the geniusness of that particular move. Loved it!

true, saw in phoenix, it really comes down to how the screen is in sync, and house lights are still up like band knows people still returning.
