I don't think the bible ever mentions Judas aside from him hanging himself after being overwhelmed with regret and sorrow after betraying Jesus.

The song supposedly takes place sometime after this interaction with Judas recalling his interaction with Jesus while still alive. According to the song, it does seem like Judas finds some redemption.
