  1. Bullet gave me chills both nights. Bono rant in the middle is incredible especially when u really listen to what he's saying. It's definitely a welcome return for a song that lost its magic on Vertigo.
  2. Yeah, what do you think it's really about.
And what's the significance of the intentional stutter when he say's Age 19.

  3. They can strive for you

19 stutter is from a song by Paul Hardcastle from the eighties. 19 average age of a combat soldier in Vietnam!
  5. Thank you!

  8. Interesting one, thanks! Love these meanings to songs/snippets.
  9. Great Eddie! Was this it for the US leg for you?
  10. Just got back home after a wild night in NY. We waited in the GA line for a few hours... met some wonderful fans from all over the world. What a great time, even though it was a scorcher outside.

The band was in top form. We were standing one row back, Edge side, just below the screen at the start of the catwalk. It was great to be that close, but as a lot people have mentioned, you certainly miss out on the visual aspect of the show.

Highlights were 'Gloria' and the RBW>UTEOTW sequence for me. Very well done. This show certainly has an incredible narrative to it that really only makes sense when you see it live. I stayed away from videos, but saw the setlists and scratched my head a bit. Then I saw it live at it all make sense. It's a really well thought out theater piece. Very well done.

The crowd was really feeling it last night. Lots of seeing, lots of movement and energy where I was standing. Of course, hearing 'Bad' again, and watching Bono throw it out there to Larry after "Beautiful Day' was incredible. I got to hear it in Pittsburgh at the end of 360, so hearing it again was magical. What a gem of a song. It's right up there with 'Streets' for me.

The surprise of the night for me was 'Every Breaking Wave.' Bono absolutely DESTROYS that song live. Wow. What a voice...

Anyway, there's much more to be said, but the guys still got it, and the show was spectacular. Hope everyone else had a great time. And if you haven't yet, you will.
  11. On another note, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For really works as a closer. I didn't think it would, but it's another one of those, "you have to be there..." kind of things.
