    Aha, right. Thanks!
  3. A while back there was a recording on soundcloud (taken down now ) from the RTE show from like 1980 just after U2 had come back from their really crappy and unsuccessful England tour, where they played like 6 nights and there was only one night when anybody really showed up and it happened to be the night Dave Fanning was there. You can read about it in U2byU2, but their whole scheme was ti pretend to Ireland like they had just gone on tour internationally and it was "all happening" - that recording that used to be on soundcloud was them on Fanning's show basically putting it into action. They talked about how every night was bigger and better and they were planning a huge gig at the National Stadium as a sort of culmination of all the momentum.

It was just a cool piece of history hearing U2 be strategic and basically lie to the audience

Nothing to do with this topic, but it reminded me of it.

  5. got mine from the fan club today and an extra copy from ebay yesterday.
  6. Mine's here and after listening to it for a couple of times, my opinion is: it's amazing!

  7. Text from my mother today
"You got a flat package from UPS"

This will be my first vinyl, but without a record player, I'll have to wait until the digital version to listen.

Or better yet, go out and buy a turntable!
  10. My wallet is still recovering from those two shows in LA. Plus, I'm starting a fund for NA Leg 2. When the boys are on the road, that has to come first.
