1. Hold me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, would be amazing there's no harm in trying and if you pull it off that would be awesome!! what aout Mysterious Ways (Zoo TV version) i always fancied that!
  2. yeh...mysterious ways never did it for me...i think it may be up there as one of their worst songs..haha im sorry if anyone takes offense to that...u2 seems to like it very much though because they play it every tour...i will say it makes for a good live song...with Morla and Bono going nuts....Naomi Campbell has even danced on stage for that song

...I believe many here love the song. To tell you the truth I...I always skip it, but I absolutely love it live, with Edge's great solo and the dances...so if it is a bootleg with the live version I don't skip it (I specially like the ZooTV Sydney version, with the falsetto in the beginning, very cool! )

    EDIT: BTW, great avatar
  4. yeh, sydney is a good version of the song. Its just that I'm going to be picking 7-12 of the best songs and I def. do not think Mysterious Ways would fit into that category ya know? Angel of Harlem is a great song as well, but I don't think it would make for a good cover. With those horns from Sun Studios...just something so soulful about it. Larry is funniest in that video. With his Sun Studios shirt on and disregarding Bono at the beginning of the clip in Rattle and Hum. I'm really thinking about doing Heartland. Or even Promenade...what do you guys think?

oo...and I know I ask a stupid question about twice a day...but how do I copy and paste someone else's post so I can directly answer it?

Heartland would be a good cover. I agree, Mysterious Ways would probably not fit. Angel Of Harlem is untouchable in my mind. (The horns in sun studios is amazing) What's your favorite album? Why not take a couple of songs off of it?

About the songs, I'd love to hear covers of songs they don't do themselves...like Heartland, Promenade, ASOH, etc.

About the quoting thing, on the top right corner of each post, there is a small link that says "quote", just click on that and it will appear with the necessary code in a reply box ready for you to answer. Look at the code and you'll get it!

Yeah, I like the idea of playing some of the "Unknown" songs.

Yeh, thats totally what I wanna try and do. I understand it would take away appeal from a lot of people because only us Die-hards will truly appreciate it but hey, thats ok by me. ASOH would make for a great cover...def. look into it.

As for EASPORTS....i actually thought of picking a few songs from one album in particular and covering them. If I choose to do that,...it would be Pop. Not only is it one of my favs but it is not done. There is soo much potential in those songs (just listen to Popmart versions) that never came out because they were rushed. So If I did pick a record, I would prob just finish the songs the way I wanted to hear them.

If you wear that velvet dress, discoteque and please would all be covered as they were played live. oo and maybe LNOE

I agree with a lot of that. It's kinda funny, I used to hate Pop. Now it's one of my favorites. It's a shame they booked the tour before they finished the album. Imagine how good some of those early shows would've been. Especially with songs like DYFL, LNOE and Staring At The Sun. (Full Band)

yeh totally! Do you feel loved has more potential than any song on that record...and wake up dead man could've been a lot better...more along the lines of elevation

Do You Feel Loved is one of my favorites. I like the general idea of Wake Up Dead Man, but it's very raw and Gritty. It could use some work. It's a shame they can't re-record Pop, and have another Popmart tour. I have a feeling that if it wasn't rushed, it would've been bigger than Achtung Baby!
  12. def. would've. I think Popmart was bigger than ZooTV in South America. But overall as records go, Achtung was def. bigger than Pop. More hits
