  1. I find it very strange that in most giglists of the Boy-tour (Leg 3) all over the web "De Lantaarn" is listed as the venue where U2 played in Rotterdam in february 1981. I attended the show and I am 100% sure that the concert took place at the now long gone venue "Eksit" at the Eendrachtstraat (attendence approx. 400).
    A lot of concerts in these years took place in "De Lantaren" (not "The Lantaarn"!!) but certainly NOT U2's gig of february 1981!!
    It was a great gig btw. At one point Bono poured a glass of water/beer over a too enthousiastic spitting punk as I recall. Ah the good old times
  2. The reason that it might be wrong all over the web is because a lot of sites (including u2start) are using the database from www.u2gigs.com .

    According to http://www.u2gigs.com/show71.html it was in De Lantaarn. I have no doubt that you are correct, but we cant correct it (because its not our database). Contacting u2gigs is the only way.

    I've contacted U2gigs about this, as it also seems they now have an incorrect venue listed for February 1981 (Dublin instead of Rotterdam?!), that doesn't make any sense as U2 played the day before and after in The Netherlands.
