1. Yeah I'm sure he enjoyed writing and recording it, and he'll surely enjoy playing it live. And I'm sure some fans will too.

It's just not the album for me.

  2. just got back together, as it happens.

TDE album is pop music for sure, but it's not pop in the sense of the manufactured, soulless crap you hear in most of the charts these days. it's pop in the sense of it's fun, light and accessible. to me that doesn't make it less legitimate, well written or anthemic than, say, Sam's Town (which is still his best work, i agree).

also, the Brandon show I went to a couple of weeks back was incredible. one of the most enjoyable gigs i've seen in a long time (but then i am a fanboy in the truest sense, so maybe i'm biased).
  3. I'm a fanboy of both The Killers as a band and Brandon as a persona, singer and songwriter. But if I don't like a song, a set of lyrics or a particular sound approach, not even the biggest amount of bias can make me like it U2 is my favourite band and means a world to me, but I can't get to like Grace even if I forced myself into it. Same with most of Brandon's solo work sadly.

So, what you're saying is that he got the desired effect?
  5. I can't wait to see Brandon tour the talkshows and lead with that pun.

  6. Ronnie's new Big Talk album - Straight In, No Kissin' (candidate for best album title ever) - and it's a might fun listen.
  7. Does anyone have any bootleg concert audio from Brandon Flowers flamingo tour?
  8. I'd like to know the same, haven't seen anything around.
  9. Video Brandon Flowers full set at Life is Beautiful
  10. Not sure how I feel about Brandon using the iconic "K" and projecting THE KILLERS on the screens Somehow he makes it look like he IS The Killers, but there are 4 of them. Oh well.
