  1. So for future reference on the news if you missed it: Bigwave talked to the camera guy in front and was told that Paris 1, 2, and 3 are the shows being filmed for the official release, and are also being mixed then broadcast for the HBO thing in the US.
  2. "really really great night"

they are not taking any risks then. Just pick the best performances from each night for the broadcast it seems.

With the exception of 360, they've never deliberately filmed a release over one night. This is fairly regular behaviour. Although, of course I see your point. I really would've liked to see an entire show broadcast live just like 360.

So does that explain why we're getting the same songs over and over again?
  6. Decent night, but not as good as Barcelona in terms of overall experience. I ended up on the second row, right in the middle of the catwalk. It has its good, it has its bad. Great for close-ups of the band, some really nice moments there for the fans. But you can't see the screen at all and since everyone loves Bono, everyone turns to face him. I stood singing With Or Without You into the face of this lad because I could only see the main stage. I couldn't really get into the first half of the show because of the surrounding audience, Iris and Song For Someone were particular low points. Aside from Every Breaking Wave though, the crowd picked up around me until the end from Real Thing onwards. It was a standard setlist and it wasn't as good as Barcelona on paper. I'd rather Volcano over Sweetest Thing...and an Ultra Violet snippet of course.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night where I'll try and get back on the e-stage. Had fun meeting a few members today, hopefully there will be many more across the week. I'll try and save a little voice for the Periscope tomorrow night too.
  7. Wow, 3 snippets in Electric Co.?
  8. I read that Edge had a lot of tech trouble tonight, is this true?

Since night 3 is the night of HBO broadcast night, I wonder if most footage will be from nights 1 & 2... if they use night 3 and are editing and mixing, they only have about 5 hours between end of show and HBO airtime in States...
  10. Yes. Had to switch guitars a few times and there were problems with some of the pedals too.

  11. This man told us about the filming of Paris 1-3
