2015-11-18 - Belfast
Tour: Innocence and Experience tour
Songs played: 27
Audio recordings: 1
  1. "Cause a riot" - I doubt it will be as bad as the U2start fight in Dundee.
  2. A made up controversy. Goddam politicians.
  3. Forget it. If SBS went down fine with the Belfast crowds in 1982 with the Irish conflict at full throttle, there's no reason why this beautiful tribute shouldn't work in 2015 with a 99% of the population already embracing a new peaceful status quo.

  4. Don't worry, it's all kosher. My assessment will be at 10am on the Thursday, meaning I have to do something quite frankly ridiculous. Fly to Belfast, then fly back to Edinburgh, to fly back to Belfast. The things I do for this band...

Bloody hell. It'll be worth it for the riot.
  6. I cant see the playing Raised By Wolves upsetting anyone other than a few politicians who have a duty to be upset. Maybe U2 should introduce the song with the line "There's been a lot of talk about this next song...."
  7. I would dedicate SBS to said politician.

Holy shit, that is some incredible dedication. Hoping it all turns out fine!
  9. The only thing that I'm surprised at is that the politician (and all his friends) have not complained much earlier. He didn't seem to mention all the songs U2 have written about the troubles and could be seen as anti-Republican!!!! By the way, it will be U12 fans going to the concert and not the bigots so there will be no trouble whatsoever

Unionist politicians only pick and choose what to get annoyed at. Complaining about a setlist a month and advance is also stupid. You can't court controversy about events that might not even happen.

I fully expect RBW to be delivered the same way it is every night on tour. The band will relish playing it in Ireland. They want to write songs that mean something and I don't think anything will prevent them from playing it.
  11. Seated tickets received today.
  12. Go to 01:02:55. Can you see those fighter planes??
